If you have a line speed problem with BT, you'll also have it with whichever other provider you choose to sign up with. Its a line issue, not a provider one. Have you had your problems previously investigated by Openreach?0 -

Really? Amazing co-incidence then whenever I rang up to complain my line speed would go back up the best speed I ever got for a few hours before plummeting again.Current MFD 1st July 2026

It could be that there is a line fault and the DSLAM at the exchange is reducing your speed until it can establish a stable connection. When you complain, the BT person tries to reset the connection which will result in a faster initial speed. However, if the line fault is still there the DSLAM will automatically reduce it down to a stable level.0
