Amazon appstore accidental purchase

Hello
My 2 year old accidentally bought a football game app for £8.99 this morning, for her Amazon Fire. Paid by debit card. Amazon states that it is non returnable. Surely this can't be right? Is it worth contacting customer service?
I have all the usual parental controls but my daughter went in through my own profile, where one click is set up.
TIA

Speak to Amazon, I know that Apple do refund accidental purchases from their AppStore...Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.1 -
Buy her a kindle for kids. She would have to know your password to access your profile and all content is tailored to the child's age group. Plus a 2 year guarantee of replacement, even if your child steps on it or throws it at the wall.0

Take better care of your security on the device. not having to input a password on a kids device is a recipe for disaster, as you have just found out.0

You can try asking but don't be surprised if Amazon refuse to refund you.0 -
I've had a refund from Amazon before for a Kindle book that I bought in error, requested it within a day or so of buying it.0

They offer refunds on book purchases, but not music or apps.0 -
Failed to adequately supervise my child; can I have a refund?0

Why does she not haver her own kindle/tablet ?
Should have taken precautions, I dont have 1 myself but surely you can log out of the store or take other preventative measures.0 -

Maybe she didn't have her own because she's only two. I agree with the other comments re: password protection etc. There is no way a two year old should have been able to access / order anything from anywhere.0
