There you go then, the stats actually show what is happening in reality.
  • I agree, PIP has been a nightmare, made my life 10 times worst than before the switch from DLA. Am waiting tribunal now, but some days I just question is it worth fighting the DWP and carrying on.

They are absolute awful what they are doing to disabled people.
Getting over the next hurdle (Tribunal) will only see you getting nearer to the next re-assessment (just to see if you are still entitled)!!

Presumably you are gathering your evidence not only to submit to the Tribunal but also in anticipation of the next review?

    You may think I jest!!
  • That is awful, I really feel for them.
But the DWP and the government don't. They just see the ££££££'s being saved.
  • :o

I know, truth be told I won't put myself through it again. I have a feeling my planned surgery I so desperately need and want won't happen... if that's the case I will not able to cope living how I do, that happening or another assessment will be the final straw for me.

I have had the MR back and I now need to go to court. Gosh, if only the minsters knew how horrible the PIP process was.
A Tribunal... oh well... just prepare as best you can and focus your preparations and any written submission on the descriptors that apply to you in your opinion and therefore why the Reconsideration decision is wrong. I assume there is a face to face medical report involved here... and presumably it is not favourable.. be prepared to challenge what it contains. Ideally get someone to help you with all this and go with you on the day assuming you intend to opt for an oral hearing.

    I disagree.
They know EXACTLY what they are doing, and what stress and anxiety they are causing.
    How could they not?

But as per comments made by some posters - you worry that you cannot endure the process.
"I won't put myself through it again"
Wonder why you even bothered starting
Wonder if you should put yourself through it again.
Are you doing to permanently damage whatever 'remaining' health you have?
People have been worrying themselves sick about it ........ for years before they are moved from DLA to PIP. And I have yet to hear from anyone who had a smooth/satisfactory experience.

Some of the worse bullies and abusers never lay a finger on the victim.
This government and DWP staff know EXACTLY what they are doing, and what they are putting vulnerable people through......
I am sure before they started on this process, they have some calculations about how much money they would save by people losing DLA, and how many people would not challenge their assessment
    How many will not appeal
How many will not take it to Tribunal...
And how many will drop dead during the process....

PIP has been well thought out and costed, and a large part of the savings will be based on how many people who SHOULD be getting support they can deny initially....... and will never get any more money because they cannot navigate or cope with the tortuous process they have very deliberately created.
