godaddy, 123reg, fasthost etc etc etc0

And with any of them just type in the domain name you want and it'll tell you if it's available for them to sell to you.0

lemontart, I have googled it and you are right a list of names appear, but wasn't sure which ones were 'reputable' hence this post to hopefully get a steer on here

Have you done a WHOIS search on the domain, to see who currently owns it?
Is there any website currently hosted on the domain?0 -
If you have a legitimate claim to the name, then you can possibly take action to acquire it at a reasonable price.
Otherwise choose a different name. Normal domain name prices are in the range of a few ££s, not hundreds or thousands. Prices vary depending on the suffix (.com, .co.uk, etc.)
e.g. Dargle.co.uk = £6.49/yr with UK2.net, Waxies.online = £0.99/yr with UK2.net.
Paying through the nose for domains that have been acquired speculatively just encourages them.0 -
