Dealing with a short term car rejection return of vehicle

Actually, Section 20 of the CRA states that: "The consumer has a duty to make the goods available for collection by the trader".
However leaving the car for his collection actually leaves the issue of an unused, uninsured car being kept in my drive for a potentially long time!0 -
And it actually says "A refund under this section must be given without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days beginning with the day on which the trader agrees that the consumer is entitled to a refund."0

And with no guarantee you'll win at court.
What's the car and problem?0 -
If you use the short term right of rejection then you are responsible for returning the car to the garage that you purchased it from.0

They seem to not want to answer that question that has already been asked.
If you are not local is there any restriction on dealer collecting? Seems odd to expect a dealer in London to collect a car from Scotland for example if the buyer rejects it - not the dealer's fault the buyer is so far awayRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Which is precisely why the CRA states that the consumer is responsible for returning the rejected goods back to the place they collected them from:
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/20/enacted(7)From the time when the right is exercised—
(a)the trader has a duty to give the consumer a refund, subject to subsection (18), and
(b)the consumer has a duty to make the goods available for collection by the trader or (if there is an agreement for the consumer to return rejected goods) to return them as agreed.
(8)Whether or not the consumer has a duty to return the rejected goods, the trader must bear any reasonable costs of returning them, other than any costs incurred by the consumer in returning the goods in person to the place where the consumer took physical possession of them.0 -
Don't you have to give the dealer the chance to rectify any faults?I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Not within 30 days, I believe.0 -

And can it not be repaired? If you expect to win in court then the judge will decide on what he thinks reasonable.
You may have decided that (as an extreme example) a blocked washer is a major fault, most would be unsurprised when the judge didn't agree.
So what is the reason for rejection as that will have a major bearing on how you should deal with the issue?0 -
I paid £50 for 20 year old banger and a headlight bulb is failed....reject! lol0
