My car is also not registered at the property I'm renting, not sure if that would make any difference.
When you say "not registered", what do you mean?

What address will the PPC get if/when they apply to DVLA for your details? (if they have not already done so, see next Q)

Have you had a windscreen ticket only? Or a Notice to Keeper?
  • They will get my parents address, my old address, I have a Notice to Keeper

    What were the dates of:
    1) Windscreen ticket (if you got one)
    2) NTK arriving at your parents address (and the date on the letter itself)
  • 1) No windscreen ticket
    2) Date arrived: 3/2/2017, Date of posting on the letter: 27/1/17

Ah ok. was partly concerned that you may eventually get court papers at an address you no longer have access to. Not good!

What was the date of the parking event?
  • date of the event was 15/1/17

    Draft IPC appeal:

    Dear 14 Services,

    Re PCN number:

I challenge this PCN as keeper of the car.

I believe that your company does not have the right to add terms and conditions to an existing residential lease. In support of this belief I would like to make you aware the case of Homeguard v Jopson [2016] B9GF0A9E which makes it clear that if a parking company is engaged to manage the parking in a private residential zone, they cannot override a resident's lease.

Could you also provide me with the following information:

    1. Who is the party that contracted with your company?
    2. Is your charge based on damages for breach of contract? Answer yes or no.
    3. Please provide all photographs taken of this vehicle.
    4. Please provide proof that the timing of any camera used was synchronised with all other cameras and/or systems & machines.

Do not send debt collector letters and do not add any costs which would be a thinly-veiled attempt at 'double recovery'. I will not respond to debt collectors and to involve a third party would be a failure to mitigate your costs as well as deliberate and knowing misuse of my data.

Should you obtain the registered keeper's data from the DVLA without reasonable cause (e.g. if you do not fully comply with the IPC Code of Practice in terms of signage at this site, for example) please take this as formal notice that I reserve the right to sue your company and the landowner/principal, for a sum not less than £250 for any Data Protection Act breach.

For the avoidance of doubt, I do not give you consent to process data relating to me or this vehicle, whether you have already obtained it or not. I deny liability for any sum at all and you must consider this letter a Section 10 Notice under the DPA. You are required to respond within 21 days.

    Yours faithfully,

remove (edit) the references above (no personal details or references or identifiers on a public forum)

learn to protect your privacy , especially as the PPC`s read forums like this one ;)
  • Thanks for that!

Think the boat has sailed on this one - they already have retrieved your RK details from the DVLA ... shouldn't we re-word this as otherwise it will blatantly look to them like a cut and paste job.
