Extension of Offer From Sky

Options
I have just received an email from Sky giving me an 18 month extension of the current offer I have, very pleased with this!
Great news! Your current Sky offers (excluding Multiscreen) have been automatically extended for 18 months. There's no new contract or upgrade required and your package stays exactly the same. It has all been taken care of, there is no need to get in touch.

Presumably this is part of the new loyalty programme the announced last week.

Could you tell us what package you have and how much your offer price is, pls.

This will help other FMs if they want to haggle with Sky for a similar deal.
  • I have the Box Set package, paying £19 pm for that plus multiscreen at £12 Also have Sky Q.

I was going to say that that is a better deal than mine but I've just checked and I'm only paying £14.10 for Boxsets albeit on HD+ :p

The 18 month extension you've received, is that from now or from when you last negotiated? When did your new deal originally start?

I was thinking that it would be nice to have my offer of 75% off Boxed Sets and Cinema extended that way, but whereas with the £100 it works out at £5.67 a month, the extra 6 months would be at £14 or an 18 month average of £8.44.

My retention deal was 12 months, no contract, are they moving away from the minimum contract model for those who had their hardware still installed?

I got the same letter yesterday - 18 month extension for my current deal: all channels (inc Movies and Sport) for £30/month.

Dunno, Sky don't show the non-"Sky Q" packages?

What's the percentage difference between the full package and £30?

It should show the standard price on your bill, but I think it's around 60% as mine is £32 and I've got 60% off. If you have multiscreen though then you are probably on a 75% discount to get it at that price.

My bill shows £80 as the full price (no multiscreen).

Has anyone seen the information relating to this offer length on their personal mysky portal?
