Down/feather coat too heavy

Does it have a fitted waist? Try it with a belt or tightening the waist cord if it has one. I have a very heavy wool coat which feels surprisingly light because it fits well and not all the weight is dragging off my shoulders. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Ha Reminds me of when full length sheepskins were all there rage, and me 5 ft and a tiny bit all of 7 stone, weighed a ton
Took a while getting used to the weight but it also made a great blanket during the cold of winter
Take it to dressmaker and get some of the weight removed
I love my sheepskin coats.
I have 4 including an inside out one where the curly fur is on the outside.
All vintage and bought from charity shops.
Fabulously warm, especially when I wear them with my UGGs.0 -
Removing feather will just reduce insulation. Absolutely pointless. Wear as is or return it would be my advice0

Don't buy down would be my advice. Not without seeing the source of the feathers, try YouTube.0

As above, down and feather are extremely cruel ...0

Ha I don't like my uggs either :rotfl:
Seriously make my feet too warm
Last I wore them was 2010 during the dreadful snow we had.
They did keep my feet dry and they are still look as good as new. I'd give them away but I know of nobody with small enough feet who deserves them

I wear my Uggs as slippers now. Very toasty in the evenings!0

Me! Me!
I've been a good girl, I have.
Currently wearing child size 1, EU 32 but also have some ladies size 3 which seem to come up very small - that's why I've had so many bargains from eBay.0 -

Yes, I remember them well! The sheepskin coat I had was really warm but exhausted me it was so heavy.0 -
Think of it as a 'keep fit coat' all that extra weight is giving you exercise

I expect you'll get used to it if you keep wearing it.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20
