    Before reading this thread, I would have reacted exactly the same way as Janet. However, reading the explanation why the repairers need thisinformation, I have learned something and suggest that you just give them the information they require.

    You can change your google account login after you get the phone back.

    Also ask just what is at risk with them having that information? It can vary from person to person.

    what can I do next ?

    If you want that device to be fixed, NO-ONE can do it without your login details. By design, as a security feature, it's locked to your account. If I steal the device off you, it's no use to me. That's a great deterrant! Think about what you want to happen.
