X Series and hotmail. Nokia 6120

I am looking at getting a deal with Three for a Nokia 6120 and getting the X series silver add on. The one thing I can't find mentioned anywhere is if hotmail is accessible from the downloadable Windows Live application.

I have a vague recollection of someone once telling me that it is disabled. Can anyone confirm this?

I was thinking about getting the X series gold option with free slingbox, but as far as I can tell it needs to be wired to my broadband router by ethernet cable, which would mean running a wire from the tv downstairs to my router upstairs which would be impractical. Anyone have any experience of the slingbox to say if it would be worth the hassle. Does it not use a lot of bandwith from the home end as well? (I see that 3 don't charge for the bandwith at the phone end subject to fair usage)

Can anyone with X series answer the hotmail issue?

  • I have this set up with X series silver and have hotmail as a bookmark, no problem (I don't yet use MSN so idon't know if it does "joined up thinking" about that).

Haven't managed to get it run on the mobile mail as the server location thingy is unknown (how I wish I could turn off the mobile mail as it doesn't work for me but I can't, having got it half set up, seem to do so:mad: ).

I'd be interested re the slingbox, the only digital TV reciever we have is in the PC so I would hope it would work with that?
  • I don't think the built-in one lets you access it but you should be able to install the other version of Windows Live messenger on there and get to Hotmail via that (search for 6120 on this thread where anonymousie was asking about this phone).
The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster! :)
