Gearbox failed after 8 Months

Depends on who paid.
If it was fitted under warranty, and less than 8 months warranty remained on the car, then it won't be covered, but you would have a case for claiming the car is of unsatisfactory quality.
If you paid for it, then look to the manufacturers terms, most likely 12 months with a maximum mileage.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

What rights do I have from a garage dealership that fitted a factory supplied automatic transmission which completely failed after 8 months?
They state in a leaflet that all parts are covered by a manufacturers guarantee for parts and labour.
Have you gone back to the dealership who fitted it yet?0 -
