  • Hi everyone, I work for Vodafone as a business advisor and just to confirm that this number costs you your standard text rate to send the text and is absolutely free to receive the code back so in effect.......

The song is costing you your standard text rate. i.e. between 10 and 12 pence!!!

    Matt
  • Can anybody plaes confirm whether it takes the redeemed voucher BEFORE it taps into any existing credit? I have £25 in credit already and somebody else said it reduced this by 79p rather than deleting the "free" song credit which expires in 2 days.
  • Wont let me put in a 2nd code now although I did get the text. Just wont let me redeem it on the site says "A maximum of 1 free song codes may be used"

    Yes it does...

I had existing credit, and when I redeemed the code, it said "1 song + xxx"

After I downloaded the track, the credit was unchanged, just the "1 song" bit was gone...

but yeah, it wouldn't let me redeem the 2nd code I got.

A shame it is as illegal as allofmp3 was.

Last thing I heard, the Russian courts threw out the case against them ruling that allofmp3 had 'operated within the bounds of Russian law'. Whilst the site is pushing the boundaries of legality, technically it's a legal site. The main reason the RIAA have been having a go is that when the tracks are being sold for 7p each, how can you get a decent royalty? (mp3sparks sets a royalty level of 15%, but 15% of nearly nothing is still nearly nothing)
  • Nice! I had 2 Virgin sims with £5 credit on each lying around, managed to get 100 free songs!
  • I BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN RESTRICTED TO ONE PER PERSON NOW!
Great while it lasted, but now 1 code per account.

    I got 3 songs
    Thanx OP!
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!
  • Think they have got onto this as you are only allowed to enter 1 code per account (or so it seems) as it says "A maximum of 1 free song codes may be used", suppose will just have to create loads of accounts
  • I can't even get the redeem biutton to show up. Am I just being dense, or has it been disabled?
Look through the online help, but the help info contradicted what was actually on there!

Or better still use http://www.mp3sparks.com/ and pay even less for DRM free music.
This site's great but since all the problems I can't load my account with any money. All the cards I use are declined - I think the major card companies have decided to refuse any payments to them
