    It doesn't .....

I wouldn't even put oak in a shower or bathroom . Even with the highest flowing fans your still getting quick constant changes in moisture and temperature . If you don't mind inch wide splits or ruptures a few inches high knock yourself out !!

Krey tells everyone it's easy , easy to do a poor job as indicated by his posts .

Hi, I am based in South London (SE5) and am looking to remodel a small bathroom (1.5 x 3m) in size and am looking to level check what would be a reasonable budget for labour:

    High level scope:

Strip out entire current bathroom of all fixtures and fittings
Fitting new client supply tiles floor and wall
Construction of MDF based utility/storage closet to enclose washer
Plumbing - fitting of new c/s sanitary ware (toilet, bath, basin, heated towel rail, taps, shower valve/taps) including new soil/waste pipe as required
Install new power supply for washing machine (with isolator)
Re-plastering and clean up of waste materials
I am starting to get some quotes but would like to understand what is sensible based on others experience.

I think this quote is fair, we had a similar bathroom fitted in size and I couldn't believe how long it actually takes (and our tradesperson was extremely competent and hardworking). Sadly the costs of the materials can be more than the labour!

We've been quoted £2990 - we supply the suite and tiles, they do everything else. Fair price to be honest.
