  • Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Still feeling a bit ropey, I thinks its the increased dose of medication, will speak to the Dr about it next week when I go.

OH washed our disgustingly dirty car, it looks much better now. I tackled the FRiday clean a day late, had to keep stopping for a rest, but its all done. Also washed the kingsize sheet and duvet cover I bought yesterday, its been a lovely fine day, so they are out on the line. The last two days have been cold but sunny. The new net is up at the bedroom window too.

Pork casserole for supper, enough for another meal in the freezer too. I get the pork from Aldi, its always good, not too fatty. I soaked some black eye beans and put in with it. Mash, cauli and calebrese to go with it.

We both went for a siesta this afternoon, the day bed is really comfy.

OH has worked out how much wood we need for the deep beds, we need to get 2 done before we go away on holiday so it can be planted up when we get back. We priced it up yesterday at the wood yard along with a huge bag of wood chippings for the paths.

I need to do a freezer auudit and menu list for this month, we are running the freezers down just now, but the milk and bread one is getting very low. I have not made any bread for a couple of weeks, need to get a loaf on tomorrow. When I got the duvet cover yesterday I also bought 2 jugs that will go in the freezer and hold 2 pints of milk each. I have been finding that the 4 pint containers are going sour before we can use it, especially if we have porridge in a hot bowl, it seems to turn the milk. I could do with getting 2 more, will have to have a look in the section at Boyes next time we go in.
  • Where I work we are given congratulatory post cards by the head to acknowledge hard work, but we have to be nominated by our line manager.
One of my colleagues did a wonderful job on an event, the head asked who was responsible and our line manager named her friend instead of the person who really did the work!
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Late afternoon all. The memorial/celebration party went off well all things considered. Very touching in parts, especially when one friend read out a poem she had written. Quite a few tears were shed throughout that. The children were quite late arriving and we all thought their dad had changed his mind about bringing them. There was a montage (is that the right word?) of old photos running on a screen with memories of when all the friends were at school together and enjoying Club 18-30 holidays in their late teens! DD gave the children a Memories photo album she had made up of them at our family birthday and Christmas parties. And also a book of memories with contributions from everybody there for them to keep so they know how much their mum was loved. We only stayed a couple of hours but I think the party would go on quite a while longer after we left.

Well done LW! Spend wisely! REDRUBY Grrr! You did well to bite your tongue. I hate it when someone takes the credit for something someone else had done.

Have a nice evening folks! Oh and Happy New Bridge to ELONA! xx

Afternoon everyone thanks to Karcher for starting the thread.
Hugs to anyone that needs them
Well my guag is definitely still in the box today and have spent most of it cosied up reading my kindle. It's cold and wet so a good day for what the Scandinavians call hygge and I feel the better for it.
Younger son has been a good lad and done some of the chores I can't manage and all my lights now have working bulbs in them:D
Tasty but terribly unhealthly brunch of toast, lorne sausage and HP sauce - was lovely:) Not sure what dinner is tonight as son unsure of his plans. He heads back tomorrow morning so busy trying to catch up with his dad and his mates. He'll bath the elderly (slightly leaky) pooch before he goes- which is always a laugh. The dog hates the idea of getting a bath so hides when he hears the water running and sees his towel coming out. He then doesn't want to come out once he's in as he's remembered he actually likes the hot water on his old joints and dives about like a puppy afterwards as his joints have eased up. It's the same everytime and great entertainment :D
Hope everyone has a great evening x

    Evening all,

Grandson must have been poorly as he just lay on the settee and fell asleep. Normally he is bounding all over the place. He is a bit brighter now i am told. We did manage to go shopping. That will be less that will need doing tomorrow.

Had an argument over Facebook with hubby. He's gone on block and will be staying on block too. :D

Ive left him watching Discovery Turbo and i am going to spend the night up here. I dunno who's sulking the most, me or him. :D

    Have a good night all.
