Hello guys, I tried to inform myself from this forum and I tried to beat the PCM private firm with an appeal but I think I made a mistake.. please find attached photos with the first letter and the second one is after my appeal.

My mistake was, I think .. I wroted them , I had a drop-off there(I'm a taxi driver) and my costumer was not feeling very well and that's why I stopped on a double yellow line, not in the designed bay and from here my mistake.. automatically they know I'm the driver and how I saw on a topic this is not a brilliant idea, they still rejected my appeal how you can see and I can't appeal with POPLA .. only with the IAS, I think.. any advice? what can I do next ? I mean I just stopped to make the drop off and after I left .. so I didn't even parked there.

Thank you, Petre.

// edit: I can't post photos :(

long story - short // I stopped for a drop off in High Point Village Hayes in Station Approach only 1 minute for a drop off(I'm a taxi driver) in front of the SPA on a double yellow line and PCM issued a ticket of £60 , I tried to explain them with an appeal but no succes ..

Yes you can show photos (sort of), why not just search to find the answer covered every day? Break the link.

OK so the car does not look 'parked' looks like you were exercising a normal right of access to drop off, as taxis do. So you need to know that this will likely end by you winning at a hearing because PCM won't stop and Gladstones solicitors (run by the same two controlling minds behind the IPC Trade Body and the IAS 'appeal' service) throw cases at court regardless of how woeful the evidence is, hoping victims get scared and pay. So you will likely have to defend a claim but - you should win, with our help.

    A real life experience!

Come back if you get a solicitor's letter or a claim and we'll help. To understand who PCM are (ex-clampers who ticket in seconds, like they used to clamp in seconds) read these links about PCM:

We will help you beat this at court stage. It does not affect your credit rating as long as you don't ignore court deadlines; your case is like lots of other PCM ones and is winnable.

Have a look at spaceman8's thread, he won last week v PCM and his case (similar to yours in that he stayed 2 minutes in a loading bay, which was very badly signed) is one of those featured in the Blogs above:

Relax, no steps needed yet. As a taxi driver you need to learn how to beat these scumbags and we will assist. Do not contact them again nor try the IAS, you didn't make a mistake. Your appeal so far was absolutely fine.

    :)

  • Ok and thank you but they have some designated bays for drop off and pick up on the other side of the road how I saw on Google maps..the thing is there are no signs at the entrance of the "private land" with "for drop off ->" or something to lead you to the bays..and secondly the spa is on the left side not on the right so I'm supposed to leave my passengers across the street only because they want to? I'm thinking at this like an escape plan if they take me to court..I will post tomorrow some pics with this.

OK, but we will help you with that escape plan. There is no reason why a taxi can't drop off on double yellows where there are no legible clear signs. There is no reason for immediate ticketing by predatory scumbags like 'Mrs Sunglasses'. We assume you've read the Blogs and realise a similar predatory idiot was taking those photos of your car.

    This should be illegal.

    Is it this location?

The PCM contract there allows drop offs.

  • Yes, that's the location, the contract allows drop off but they say in a designated bay which is not marked with any sign at the entrance of the site and it's on the opposite side of the spa/hotel

but they say in a designated bay which is not marked

That is not what the contract says and there are at least 5 wins against that argument.

Like all of these companies, it's a series of lies and blunders. They are preying on the uninformed and the fearful.

If you want to go back, warn them they have no reasonable cause to continue and they can either take you to court within 14 days or cancel.
