Talk talk new contract

My current contract with Talk Talk ended on the 26th January I have had free BB for the 12 months. On that contract I did have anytime calls and was paying £7 50 . The current bill is for £6 broadband for this month plus the £7 50 for the calls. I had paid my line rental 12 months in advance and that is due to end on the 16th February.
Have spoken to them and the best they can offer is £23.75 which include Broadband Phone rental and the Anytime calls.
I didn't ask how much I would save if I paid the rental. This seems to be the best they will do. I did ask if they would include some international calls but the answer was no.
I had been with AOL until about 3 years ago they asked me to transfer to Talk Talk.
The other deal I have found is with SSE which will do the Broadband and anytime calls for £21.15
Views would be appreciated Thank you. Sue

  • With talktalk there is no longer the option to pay line rental upfront.
With what they offered (BB and anytime calls) for £23.75, only the anytime calls was discounted.
The standard BB normally cost £20 for 24 months, the anytime call boost normally cost £7.50.

Thanks for that Yes it looks like they are doing the anytime calls for £3 75 so half price Looks like this might be the best I am going to get I have paid the line rental up front the past couple of years but I didn't know that this is no longer an option. The line rental seems to be
£18 95 but with hte BB it is £20 They initially said £25 75 and then reduced it to £23 75. Still thinking about it. Sue
  • If you're happy with the service provided with the broadband and phone then you could take up that offer. I believe SSE won't accept you since you not on BT's line but on a LLU (Talktalk's), they do offer a LLU to migration fee but last time I asked they simply refused to accept me even I said I would pay the fee.

  • Is it not possible to do voice/video calls using the internet like Skype, whatsapp etc...
Or do you prefer to use a landline/mobile?
