Seems like i cant get my Son in to see the doctor i want for another 3 weeks. Ive waited this long i'm sure we can wait a bit longer. I could see any GP of course but i need to feel confident in who we see. Meanwhile, he will continue to come here for food and i'll send him off with a packed breakfast/dinner/tea.
Such a lot going on at the moment...
Karcher take a deep breath...
Lainey. I turned the radiators down this morning. Its too cold to have no heat but way too hot for the default setting. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well done dumpling.
I went back to bed and slept on and off till 11.40. Lots f fairly unpleasant dreams though, which often happens when I'm ill.
DD rang, they are having problems getting their builders back to finish. Why can people be so horrible.0 -
KARCHER sorry you have had upsetting news. ((HUGS)) x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Got to Mum's OK. Forgot to turn off the main road for my first task (annoyed at myself), collected my orders and had my contact lens check up. The optician has changed my prescription for the first time in ages, and I've got tons of lenses still. I'll not be throwing them out!
The contractors at Mum's placed disconnected all the Tv aerials on Tuesday, without notice, and despite assurances it's still not reconnected. There's the communal aerial and the additional extra ones...another annoyance. Luckily she's managing to watch most things on her laptop but it's not good for an evening of viewing. It'll be Monday now.
Karcher - so sorry you're having a bad time just now. <hugs>0 -

I just did some googling and you are right - the bridge is open :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
There is an official new bridge ceremony on the 19th of this month which should be good fun and will suggest dds come with me if they fancy it. It will make such a difference being able to get straight from one end of town to another and should mean we eventually get three buses an hour instead of two.
I woke up late and had a really good sleep for once, hung washing outside as it looks like a nice day and am clearing out the fridge , cleaning it with anti bac and sorting out things so I can find them.
Family are coming round for Sunday lunch so will go to the supermarket at the other end of town and get in a nice joint of meat and veg etc. I have an order of lean meat coming on Tuesday next week and the boiler service which was due today and suddenly cancelled.
Hugs to all especially Lainey, karcher and dumpling."This site is addictive!"

Good afternoon everyone. Thanks to FBO for starting thread and hugs to those that need them.
Another blah day here as still very very unsteady on my feet and the meds I take when I have a flare up give me a crashing headache so have been mainly in bed. Thankfully feeling a bit more like now.
Just realised it's my SIL's birthday next week. I won't see her as they're not local so it's a boring gift card in her birthday card which my son can post tomorrow.
Younger son heading home tonight for the weekend and an easy dinner of LO lasagne planned. Need to do a wee bit of housework so the place isn't too much of a tip before he arrives and get the washing machine on stand by!!
Hope everyone has a good evening x0 -
Dumpling Well done on your outing!
Karcher (((hugs))) whatever the news is, know that we are here for you.
Gers how annoying for your DM without the TV.
Judi sorry your DS cannot see the GP straight away, you would think that knowing the situation they would be more understanding. Good that he has such a great mum who's looking after him so well in spite of the difficulties.
Back from our Kentish outing, very pleasant afternoon. The young lady at the building society was ever so pleasant, and so professional, considering her very young age, she must have been in her early twenties. A real asset to her organisation. She gave me a feedback card and I will make a point to report back our satisfaction with her customer care.
We went for a walk by the Thames (but just missed the ferry to Tilbury) and then found a tea and cake shop, the real thing, in between greasy spoons and pubs with restaurants attached. It was lovely and the service there also very nice, youngsters but ever so pleasant and knowledgeable. DH had a full tea (sandwich, scone with the works and a pot of tea). I had a pot of tea and a little bit of his food (1/4 of his sandwich and half his scone, with a smidgen of clotted cream and just a veil of jam. Am calculating the damage to 15 points, so tonight is veg soup (free veg only) for me. Boo Whoo. Maybe an apple if I am still hungry, which of course I will be!!!
We found a brochure with a list of all the open gardens in Kent so planning to make a few trips out on a regular basis, rather than be stuck in London all the time. It will help me not be so desperate to move, being out and about more.
Hugs to all who need them and well wishes to all the poorlies.
Have a good evening. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Evening all,
Hugs for those in need of one or more.
Had my mammogram result this morning........all fine, such a relief, every so often I panic, so it was worth the €170.
Not a nice day here, cold and damp, slept late, would really like to get back to early rising, dont seem to get anything done if im late.
OHs blood levels for his Warfarin are still high.....very low when in Australia, getting higher since we came back......am sick of hospitals, although visits are usually short.
Spag bol for dinner again, there was plenty left over from yesterday, so was a lazy cooking day for me.
Cant seem to settle to any knitting at present, lots of things I want to do, no motivation, need a good kick.
Have a good weekend everyone, stay safe.

Had a chat with dd about the short family break in April and have been checking out the dimensions of cabin luggage on two different airlines.
Finally found a cabin case I loved on the Deb***ams site which was the right size and also a medium size matching case which feels very extravagant. I do love the design and they are reduced by £100 each so I think I can justify them.

I am glad the test went well. Maybe the colder weather is affecting OH?"This site is addictive!"
