Where are they leaking? If it is around the openings they can probably be repaired with new seals and hinges where necessary. If it is around the sides of the frames then they are just fitted poorly and can be made much better by resealing the frames and filling any cavities etc..

The leak is not from where they open, rather the top of the plastic frame that runs vertically.

Look at any details printed on the glass and then open the windows and see if you can find any identifying markers on the frame.

That is easily sorted. Get the frames sealed externally and get someone to check the fitting of the window. There will probably be plastic trims around the inside of the window, covering the gap between the frame and the wall. Take this off an check for a suitable amount of fixings and that any large cavities have been filled.

Find out who will be manufacturing the windows and do some research on them. Post details on here and ask one of the many window fitters on here for advice or if the spec is good.

In short. Good windows fitted badly will seem like bad windows, bad windows fitted well will seem like reasonable windows!

Id be interested to know which areas of the country Keith99 and OP are from, as Ive found that overall, things cost slightly more the further south you are.

Dorset, so pretty far south. Houses cost more down here, it seems, so I am not surprised if such works are hiked up a little bit, too.

Does that include new lead flashing? That is extra on our quote.

So I'd say that ours is a bit more pricey than yours, so may be worth getting another quote. Obviously, ours is for 3 but the 3rd window isn't a bay and is half the size of the others so shouldn't be 1k more.
