    There are lots of other factors, which can affect a credit card decision. I think you're best bet is to check out your credit scores reports, which now can be done for free with experian, noddle and clear score (equifax). That way you can get a good understanding, of the factors these banks take in to consideration when determining your eligibility.

    You might also like to know that household income and available credit, are also considered, so you may find it easier to open up a basic card with a bank such as capital one, vanquis or marbles (each of which offer 100% accurate elibility checks, before application), and then going in for one of the 'big banks'. It's up to you!
