How often do you change it and why on earth?

If even HSBC doesn't know what's going on, then it's extremely unlikely that anybody [STRIKE]hear[/STRIKE] here can tell you.

The system is obviously designed that way. I guess you're not on the electoral register at your new address yet? The bank will be reluctant to offer you any kind of financial product until they are confident that everything is as it should be.
These systems are designed to protect the bank from fraud, and no one from the overdraft team can override what has been put in place to that end.
Any type of major change makes the banks a bit nervous for a while, it will settle down.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

It's a fraud prevention measure because you recently changed your address.

    Just ring up.

yes, that's very helpful. Did your parents not teach you basic manners for when dealing with people in need?

are you sitting there in your pants eating beans out of the can?

You probably don't know that I volunteered to be the main grammar policeman here (see my signature).

So, error corrected, no offence taken.
