Missed phone call from DWP after PIP review form returned....?

Does anyone have any idea what this is likely to be for? They did say they'd call back at 11-30am but at that time mobile had no reception. 'No change' on all questions & supporting letter from GP confirming this...in fact confirming physical health worse due to short (17 day) hospital stay (all dates in hospital clearly shown on PIP review form).

Called back & the 'attachement won't show on my claim until it downloads overnight'....'but a letter has been sent today' (no ther notes on my claim). Anyone had a similar experience? PIP due to run out end of this year. My partner is worrying (she has mental health issues) re: budgeting etc. Any ideas?

Could have been from the decision maker. They sometimes call before making their decision. I had a call for my review before a decision was made. Hopefully it's in your favour. Did DWP say a decision has been made?

Ring them back tomorrow, if a decision has been made it'll show on the computer by then and they'll tell what it is.

Only speculation, But normally when DWP DM calls a claimant it's to ask if some more questions relating to the claimants health... And the "failed" outcome of the decision.

DWP i don't think ever calls anyone to say you have been put in a group or passed a medical, Since it would be a waste of time to call everyone who got a pass.

But all you can do is wait till tomorrow.

When i was called by the DM it was just confirm a question about my mobility. I answered the question and he said thank you, you'll recieve my decision in the next 7 days. My award went from Standard mobility to Enhanced.

Hi-I would 100% hope that as I have provided a GP latter confirming conditions as stated on original application are same & could get worse due to physical issues from my hospital stay that it would not be a negative decision?

This is from a review form which they explained is to speed up process if renewed-& is sent a year in advance as standard. It's been in payment a fair while so can't see there would be n issue? Also-I'm not sure it's the 'decision maker' who is calling me as there are no notes at all on my claim on their computer systems?

Like i said if you ring tomorrow the computer would have most probably been updated by then.

Hi-called & good news. Because of the GP letter PIP extended to late summer 2018 from Xmas 2017. Paid at same rate. Thanks all for replying as was a big worry. This does seem to support sending GP letter confirming no change with review form even if not specifically asked for.
  • Yes, the general rule is send all the evidence you can. Don't assume they will contact professionals themselves. They often don't.
