Tyre dressing - any recommendations?

I always used to use boot polish.

Toshing up tyres with something like tyrewall black looks naff; it's what I used to do when I worked with dodgy car traders. If you rub a curb it all comes off anyway so a waste of time except to look 'good?' in a showroom.0

A mate of mine used to use boot polish as well - just the cheapest supermarket own-brand stuff, he reckoned it was just as good as the more expensive purpose-made gunk.0 -

You will get a matt black finish though. I prefer the glossy look that you get with the purpose made stuff.
I buy mine in 5 litre tubs by Neilsen for around £20 and it lasts me a year easily.
No big expense or hardship.0
