Can you please advise how to complain to the ICO?
They are currently ruining my brothers chance of buying his first home due to "missed payments" which they admitted aren't missed they have just aged the debt owed.
Also just read on their website they only mark on credit files when agreed payments are missed or late, which they where not! How vile!
Rather than faff around with the ICO and waiting weeks for a reply, your brother needs to speak to a solicitor ASAP and threaten the company involved to remove any adverse data from all 3 credit reference agencies immediately and also seek compensation (should be a decent sum) for the wrong data leading to a possible mortgage application decline. By all means report the company to ICO after they've removed the data, but now is the time to take legal action.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards.
