CPS Enforcement Northern LTD

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I've just had an email from this company stating that I have a parking charge notice. This is the first I've heard of it.. no ticket on the car and no letter through the post. It gives a date and time for when I'm supposed to have had the ticket but no location, it just says "Reason: Parking on regulated private land."
It doesn't read particularly well either eg:
"Reminding You that the vehicle driver had violated the terms and conditions of parking on private land. DVLA called you as the owner of the vehicle."
There is a link in the email to appeal and another to "Take a look at the evidence and the ticket" but when I clicked that link my computer blocked it as at risk of malware/spyware even though it did go to their website.
I now have no idea where I'm supposed to have picked up this ticket and as it was 20.42 on a Friday night I think I was more than likely at home.
Can anyone offer any advice? I'm not sure if it's a good idea to just ignore it as I don't even know if it's real or not!
Thanks very much

Hi, same thing happened to me today, got an email exactly like yours, at around 3:30pm, no idea where I was supposed to have parked(I never park illegally), and I was home the day of the suppose offence. I did not click on the links as I'm sure it must be a scam?

there was an email sc@m recently which was about UKPC pcn,s (but not from UKPC)

best bet is to check the BPA and the IPC websites to see if the company is registered

I assume its not , in which case IGNORE

and as its an email , IGNORE

if anyone has checked the DVLA database, they would send you a postal notice , so a letter , in writing , with a speculative invoice

and NEVER click on email weblinks from an unkown source, only a fool would do so

please , how can a parking Co get your email address?

if you are guilty off offences then this ex policeman and clamper would have to contact the DVLA for your info , the DVLA give out names and addresses NOT telephone or email contacts !!!

please can one of you tell us the origin of the email?

    was it contact@cpsnorthern.co.uk
  • in that case no-reply!

its got "scam" written all over it , when you hover over the link to picis , what is the site address?

    IT'S A SCAM.

Parking companies do not send charges to email addresses

WHY??? because they do not know your email address

NEVER CLICK ON A LINK as it could be malware

Run your virus programme to scan your computer

You wouldn't need to park illegally in order to get a ticket off the "real" CPS Enforcement Northern either.

Now you have found your way here, please read at least the first four posts of the Newbies Sticky to educate yourself about the cowboy world of private parking and what you need to do if they ever do stick one of their fake fines on you.
  • It's definitely a scam, I've just got one and I haven't got a car!!

I've got one too, this company are supposed to be part of the British Parking Association. Below is a link to a complaint form. If everyone who sees this emails them, hopefully they will get struck off.
