Hello all
I rarely fly but now am off to Geneva in february half term- can't avoid it.
Am I best to book early or late? Cant find any threads on the subject. And Im shocked at how much pricier 17-25th flights are.
All thoughts gratefully received

Half term is peak season, book yesterday as fares will only go up. Depending on where you are travelling from I have found BA and Swiss to be no dearer for last minute bookings than the so called 'low cost' airlines for peak fare. There are no bargains to Geneva which is a major ski holiday airport, and a nightmare for departures, so allow plenty of time on your return flight.0

Flights to Basel can be cheaper and then get the train.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Could you fly to Geneva from Scotland, or somewhere far from you where that week is not half-term?0 -
i think I need to bite the bullet and buy smartish. It'd be tricky getting to scotland; local airport is dead easy so I'll stick with it

Lyon isn't far from Geneva. I don't know that flights will be any cheaper or even available from where you are flying but might be worth checking out.0

Lyon or Chambery are other possibilities, as long as you don't mind taking some other transport to Geneva. Neither of them are particularly far away.0
