Sky repeatedly raised DD prices without telling me and added unauthorised services.

Hmm, seems there are quite a few people here who have had their DD's increased without notification by Sky. Scope for a group action?0

They are not obliged to tell you when an offer comes to an end, so perhaps they don't need to inform you of a dd increase in that case, as it's just paying for what you are having (as opposed to an energy provider using dd to spread costs evenly).
Another point is that your payments (exclusive of extras like non-inclusive calls and film purchase) are available for a few months in advance on My Sky, so you are informed.0 -

I guess Sky's practice isn't illegal..(?), but certainly in bad taste IMO.
In my case one time, for example, was that I had a contract for line rental and BB, when I signed up their line rental included free weekend calls as standard. When that contract ended, apparently their line rental no longer includes free weekend calls. So instead of asking me what I want, their default was to charge me line rental + BB + some sort of call plan that included weekend. Yes, I probably could have checked things in advance, but it just would've been reasonable for them to advise. Oh well, ISP's... hate them but can't live without them.0 -

At the time, most of us got an email explaining that unless we called to let them know, they would put us on the next package up from the one we were on.
eg We were on Anytime so were offered Anytime Extra, which was more but included calls to mobiles. The other option was downgrading to weekend and evening or pay as you go.
They did say that old special packages would end and the only choices were the ones I've mentioned, plus a more expensive one which includes international calls.0
