Not charged for item! Advice

You came here hoping someone would tell you that if you ignored it all, JL would stop calling and go away and you would be £200 better off as it was all their mistake.
OK - JL will stop calling and you will be £200 better off.
Maybe forever, maybe briefly with a whole world of legal and financial pain.0 -
Hi,
Recently made a purchase through John Lewis for around £600. Consisted of 3 items. I received them all in store.
John Lewis are now ringing me telling me they only charged for two and they are trying to take another £200 from my card. I have received a new card since then so they cant take the £200.
The phone calls are starting to annoy me now as they are ringing me daily and feel like Im being harassed. To me they should of taken full amount at purchase time.
Thanks
What does your receipt say you paid and for how many items?Debt As Of 19/3/2021: £16,973 | Current Debt: £9,322 | 54.9% Repaid0 -

Advice? Pay the £200.
Sorry, that's not what you wanted to hear is it? You thought you could come here and be told you have a "right" to keep the item without paying for it, citing all the whys and wherefores of some obscure bit of legislation that would enable you to get away without paying what you owe.
Just pay it and those harrassing phone calls will stop. You might even find they'd be prepared to deal with you again.0 -
Hey, I remember you.
Are you the same person who posted a tome full of dismay in March 2017 when John Lewis repeatedly declined your credit card when you tried to buy your Mum's birthday present?I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.0 -

Brilliant stuff. You couldn't make it up, could you? Well, you probably have. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Give them the money you owe or risk being charged by the Police as a thief.0

It's not theft, as such ... JL willingly handed over the items. So there won't be any police involvement.
Therefore it's a commercial/civil dispute. JL's ultimate course of action if OP doesn't pay is to raise a County Court claim.0 -
Hmmm, how about pay?
Alternatively, if you do not want to pay, return the item in its original unused condition. If you have used it, you need to pay.
You will then find the phone calls will amazingly stop!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
This is either a fabricated story or they haven't yet had the answer they wanted, saying they can keep the £200.0
