I have moved in with my boyfriend, I am looking into screwing his bills right down as I have brought children with me. they want access to the wifi and he has a small business that uses the broadband too.... He has business accounts with BT His last bill was £270 (£152 of that is usage charges
) this is a quarter. On top of this his phone bill is £220 a quarter... where do I start.
Would it be cheaper to get a personal account and the business pay a percentage or do I call and negotiate these prices he has already. He is fixed into a contract til end of feb

If the account is in his name only he can talk with them unless he has added you as a person who BT can talk too.0

Yes I am aware of that, was trying to do the donkey work so he is armed with info. I have his bills in front of me just wondering the best thing to do0

Does his business depend on the internet connection? If so, moving to a personal account may be a massive false economy.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

I suppose on a research aspect. if he needs a part he will research it - google/websites0

Have you analysed the usage in order to mitigate the usage charges?
Will a new package cover both the broadband and phone bill? https://business.bt.com/products/packages/
If he doesn't utilise any of the extra options shown here or doesn't need a Static IP, perhaps yopu can consider it, but without being able to analyse his bills, it is difficult to give personalised advice.0 -
With nearly £500 a quarter for internet and phone there would need to be a gold plated service level agreement and possibly gold plated copper phone wires. too.
It surely can't be difficult to find acceptable services at a far lower price than that unless his requirements are far from standard. Good luck.0
