G24 parking charge

I would email a complaint to David Dunford at the DVLA because when a person is in Scotland, letters should not even mention ''in certain circumstances, liability can be transferred to the registered keeper". And it certainly should not tell a person in Scotland that if you do not phone them, they will take it that you agree you are liable.

Thanks for both your replies just need confirmation not to respond at all. A bit wary of contacting DVLA though as they would have given G24 my details in the first place wouldn't they as all they had was car registration number.0

Yes - but please don't be wary of also reporting a PPC or debt collector to David Dunford. It's OK. Just don't say who was driving; talk about the letter and show him the misleading wording.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the help and advice guys, haven't contacted David Dunford at DVLA with regards to misleading wording, am too wary of contacting anyone with details. Have now received another letter from DRP with a notice of intended court action. It quotes the big 2015 court ruling case....if I get any further letters to do with court action, what do I do? Still haven't contacted these cowboys and my logic is they have no proof I received said letters as none were signed for or recorded delivery. Hoping for reassurance I'm doing the right thing.0

The best advice has been given, and assurances given, yet you've decided to go down a different route, by taking a passive approach (inaction) and you're continuing to get hassle. And you sound surprised.
Now asking for more advice/reassurance, but why if you then decide to ignore it - as in the past. Not sure there's much point.Still haven't contacted these cowboys and my logic is they have no proof I received said letters as none were signed for or recorded delivery. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have received a contractual parking charge notice for parking in a car park in Ayr, Scotland. It's in my name but my partner was driving at the time and says he didn't know you had to pay to park! He's oblivious to some things! I think the charge was £1 for the first hour, which he obviously didn't pay. He was in there for a total of 26 minutes and they have sent a £100 charge out! Should we pay it?0
