UKCPS ticket and now Miah Solicitors letter.

Hi All,
After spending some time reading all the posts I now feel even more confused.
I ignored the UKCPS ticket and made no acknowledgement of the 3 letters they sent and at the weekend I've now received a letter from Miah Solicitors claiming to be acting on behalf of UKCPS.


I've read the posts on here regarding Miah Sols and really need some reassurance more than anything.


Do I carry on ignoring them??

We have not heard from Miah for some time. I wonder if they still use boiler room scammer and former bankrupt Ian Brill as a consulatant.

How much are they asking for? If it is silly money send them a "Gan" letter.

I have received your later dated ****

Notwithstanding that I deny any debt to xxxxx I note that your letter demands £150 for legal costs

Your client has either failed woefully in its duty to mitigate costs or the sum has not been incurred and the demand is fraudulent
In neither case am I liable for the payment

If you insist that the charge is justified, please provide a copy of your invoice to xxxxx. If this is not possible, please confirm :

1 The Invoice number and details of the VAT component
2 The date that your client paid the invoice
3 Details of the time spent and activities performed for which you charged the client £150

If none of the requested information is provided, I require a full explanation for the charge

I will not enter into any discussion of the parking charge until I am satisfied by your reply

Do not contact me again other than to provide the answers to my questions

MIAH ???? Guess they have been reading too much about Gladstones and BWLegal but missed all the failures

Indeed, I cannot recall them taking any motorist to court. They carry too much baggage to take us on. y

They are asking for £185

they can ask for £4999.99p (5 grand limit in court)

doesnt mean they are entitled to it, nor does it mean you have to pay it either

in simple terms , if a judge rules against you in a small claims court , and if that judge awards them £185 , then and only then do you owe it , in which case you pay the court and that is the end of it !!

and I have been coming on here for about 4 years , some people a lot longer, I have never seen anything worrying from ULCPS or from MIAH Solicitors

its the same old bull as from the others who perpetrate these sc@ms on the ignorant public (ignorant as they dont understand the legalities until they come here or pepipoo forums and do some research , like I did years ago)

this is not Operation Yew Tree

you are not being accused of a crime

its a demand for money from a firm with no authority

it could be from a plumber who "fixed" your boiler but you are disputing the repair or the total charged for the repair and his or her time

the same sort of paperwork could be invoked and its the same court claim procedures etc (they are just milking the system to bully the english and welsh public , unlike scotland and northern ireland where the laws are not the same)
