LPA and Which?

Must admit, feeling a little ripped off by the Which? promotion on the MSE website. Pay them money, fill in a form and then you print out the form you send to the OPG along with your fee.
Given how simple it is to do the same from the OPG website, without having to pay Which?, I do feel that there must be some collusion here.
I know the link was * indicating that MSE get's a kick back, but I'd have expected something that was value adding.
It's not like the OPG website is difficult to follow or fill in! It's pretty much the same as the Which? one.
First time I've seen evidence of this site not being as independent as it used to be..
(oh and I've cancelled my Which? order so I'm not out of pocket but it has wasted my time and I've got to wait for the refund to arrive.)

Hi the.spike
Thanks for your feedback. We mention in our Power of Attorney guide that if you're fairly legally and financially literate, the DIY route is an option and can save you £500ish in legal fees.
Many people go down this route, but some prefer to go through a solicitor if they're uncertain about the process or have complex assets.
The Which? service offers a halfway house between the two options, as you get your LPA checked by a qualified paralegal, but pay significantly less than going down the solicitor route.
It’s a personal choice for each individual, but the aim of our guide is to help people choose the route that’s right for them.
Hope this helps,
