Hello Shipmates!
Quick update from me.
My new debit card still hasn't arrived and I have had to order another one so I am in a bit of a mess using the cc and need to get YNAB up to date this weekend. Lost count of NSDs but wont have had many more I don't think.
We have avoided a proper shop but have probably sent as much or more buying daily rubbish instead. Will assess the damage tomorrow.
Bl00dy Doris has ruined my weekend as my trip has been cancelled.:mad:I am a little bit pleased as we get all the money back and it will cover the extra the new decorator has cost us and will think what to do with the rest. Some will be spent on a meal with the friends we were supposed to be going away with on Sunday.
I am still taking tomorrow of to spend with DS but DH is going to go in and cancel his leave. Offered to take DS swimming but he wants to spend the money DMIL gave him to spend on his trip on a toy. He doesn't get pocket money (he's 6) so any money he gets burns a hole in his pocket until it's spent.
Had a bit of a wobble over my new job but a chat with my boss has put all that to bed and feeling positive about projects coming up.
4.5 hours of exercise last week but only 2 this week:eek: Will run at the weekend if I don't get blown away!
Grateful for:
Friends
A comfy bed

Not a NSD here - firstly filled up my car with fuel and then succumbed to the siren of Subway for lunch:o - have added it to grocery spends. Finally, quickly popped into Aldi to grab some bits to start bodycoach meals with - sig updated with all spends.
On the plus side, did get paid for 3 things on the bay, so sig updated with net income and items decluttered
Today I am thankful for:
* snuggling in bed with DS3 for half an hour this morning after the alarm went off (managed it because of prep done last night)
* some more items leaving the house and funds coming in (even if small items and small amounts!)
* bargains in Aldi
* paracetamol finally getting rid of the horrendous headache I woke up with :T

DH is at the hospital tomorrow so hopefully will get answers from the tests hes had ,, but he is MUCH better. and working again.
Lots of stress here at the moment with one thing and another ,but we just keep swimming !! .
Quick update on my goals , ( will do them properly later) 9 NSD which I hope to add to, walking days . 9. which is great for me , also 9 days on plan with my diet , need to keep up with that as I aimed to lose one pound a week , should be up to 3 pounds lost, but only lost 2 so need to keep at it , at least its not a gain, but the budget is great , first goal was to raise £46.50 by feb 25th to buy a 12 week countdown at my slimming club, have to raise this by "Other LEGAL means"not wages/ housekeeping etc, well ive sold a few things on the bidding site , used BOGOF/money off vouchers etc etc ,,and drum roll , im up to £73.92 , so got enough for my 2nd goal of a swimming pass..............just keep swimming,.
Everyone is doing great . keep it up . Feb is nearly done
my 3 things to be grateful for
no storm damage from Doris
having a visit from friends and their 7 day old grandson
the conversation with my 4 year old granddaughter walking her to school this morning0 -
Skint teacher you get to go home in your PPAs?!?! That's amazing! We're not even allowed to leave at lunch, unless it's the odd pop to the post office or shop but nothing regularly. Are you primary or secondary? We share all our planning and have a centralised scheme of work so that all classes get a consistent approach. Each teacher can then tweak the work to differentiate it if necessary.
Yesterday was a spendy day as I bought biscuits for work. Turned out I didn't need to as someone else bough cake but they'll save for another day.
Yesterday I was grateful for:-
- the people next door believe the broken fence panel between our gardens is there responsibility (I have no evidence either way)
- the tree that blew down at school didn't hit my car
- a quietist night in (could have gone to another exercise class but decided I have done one this week and to stop beating myself up)LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid0 -
Grateful for my NSD yesterday - WOOHOO!!
Plus it's Friday today and it should be another NSD - ANOTHER WOOHOO!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.0 -
Good morning,
today should be another SFD but tomorrow I'll need a weekly shop and a trip to B&Q. Will go for a run at lunch. It's bitterly cold but at least sunny again after yesterdays snow storm. DH will be out tonight so I'll get an early tea with the kids a get loads more painting done hopefully.
Will a bit of luck I'll get one more surgery today to cash out another 15 quid and order DD birthday presents for free today.
EDIT: Have been really lucky with surveys the last wee while. Just ordered all but one DD's birthday presents from Amaz@n with vouchers (just paint to get from Tescimo) and got another £10 product trial coming :j that will save me laundry money too. So hopefully will save a bit on DS in May too :TDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Ha! Half my school evacuate the building each lunch to pop to the local shops (not me, obviously, as that would be terrible for money saving!)
I'm primary and only one form entry so no chance to share planning - I think their issue is with when teachers move school/ class.
On a side note, I never actually do go home for ppa as I need the printer and at home I have a 4 year old who wants me to be bat girl which does rather break your concentration!0 -
Moll glad your husband's doing better
Should be a NSD today, just going to pay £120 I have spare from my wage on to my credit card this afternoon and avoid all other shops on the way to the bank. Might do it straight after work as if I come home then take hubby with me it may end in a brew & snack somewhere, I need more willpower!
I did a balance transfer a few weeks back to clear a card and interest has now been added so paid that off today as well which was £42.97 so it's all clear again :j1 debt vs 100 days -

"Interesting" week.
One of the joys of working for someone else's small business as a self employed person is that things are subject to change without a lot of notice or to be presented with a fait accompli. (Defined as "a thing that has already happened or been decided before those affected hear about it, leaving them with no option but to accept it.")
So it appears that my part time post is soon to be no more but no idea has been given as to when; I don't think I would have been told if the subject hadn't come up by chance.
The conversation started as "did I have any holidays planned during the summer because of alteration work mentioned 2 days previously when the person turned up to look round and sort out a quote" and deteriorated (for me) from there. Good thing that most travels are paid for and nothing is planned after first week in June _pale_
Batten down the hatches, me hearties...
Grateful for:
A kick in the pants
I hadn't cheered up so this wasn't a setback
