CEL now hurting Marks Tey Hotel, Colchester, Essex

Probably will end up the same as the Co-Op.
It's amzing that these big companies don't do their homework first.
A quick google search would have set alarm bells ringing about CELPPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0 -
No PPCs operate in any of my local Co-Op stores.
Agree that Marks Tey Hotel could have cashed-in on the commuter parking with a ready supply of customers. Even the Bungalow Diner situated almost opposite has spaces available for £4 a day and they are all fully-booked.
As for our parking nightmare, North Essex Parking Partnership declared that "by introducing parking controls along London Road, we would move the parking issue to the local, smaller, roads."Never Knowingly Understood.

Have you considered getting all the residents together to request a re-banding of your council tax.
If you do some research you will probably find that properties in side roads etc with no parking problems pay the same as you.
Martin Lewis (who started this site), a few years ago showed how to claim back council tax and it cost councils a lot of money as you could claim back a few years.
If you start researching, you may well have a claim.
Councils would rather listen and act rather than refund a few years.
