It's not a fine !!!!!!, have you got written confirmation from the hotel stating that they do not want their agents, parking eye to pursue the parking charge?
Waiving the fine is not good enough, you need to get clarification from the hotel as mentioned I the start of this post

    Hi folks,

Just a little update - I spoke to the hotel's finance department via email and they've said that they're going to waive the fine as there records show that I park there regularly (with a valid permit).

The main thing I'm taking away from this is that if you don't ask - you don't get!

Thank you all for your help!

OK, good. To be sure and safe, email:

    info@parkingeye.co.uk

and ask them to confirm. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • twhitehousecat - the hotel will indeed be getting in touch with PE to ensure that no further action is to be taken.

half_way - I have an email from the hotel stating that they were going to contact PE today to ensure that nothing else happens with this. They mentioned that it could take "up to a few weeks" to receive a letter from PE to confirm this. You're right, it isn't a fine ;)

Coupon-mad - Thanks very much, I'll get onto this now.

Thank you all for your help.
