I never thought to put it in the dishwasher! That's a great idea fir an occassional good clean. I've bought the cushion insert this time for use when the baby is still young.

I like the Tripp Trapp but I liked having a tray.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
  • Looked at Tripp Trapp....very expensive for what it is - wouldn't be so bad if the extras weren't so pricey. £35 for a tray.

I've had a look at some booster seats that attach to dining chair - like this one http://www.mothercare.com/graco-swivi-booster-seat---lime/874215.html

Failing that might be the antilop + cushion. If they're back in stock at our nearest IKEA
    Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

    Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,000

Hi Freddie, hope all is well with your little one.

He's doing so well ThinkPink - it's amazing! Rolling over, shuffling around the floor already and he's a chatter box!

Hope all well with you too.

You know it makes sense :)

It's ugly and basic and that's why it is so good, nowhere for germs to hide. And at the end of the day that's the most important thing, a clean envoirement for baby Freddie :)

I being bad nanny didn't get the booster, just used towels :)

We had a portable chair that strapped to a normal dinning room chair, but I normally sat on the floor beside me and fed my child.

When we had no 2, we bought the IKEA high chair. The legs come off, which is handy when visiting people as it fits into the car easily.

    +1 for ikea too

Jess is 23 weeks and sits in it perfectly with the insert. She's also quite small for her age. I like the fact it can go in the dishwasher.

We haven't started weaning yet and she's already sitting so the recline and padding seems a bit pointless.

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

  • We had a cheap, colourful, plastic one from Argos. Cost about £20. Was easy to keep clean but very unstylish. I really hated the way it looked (plastic! colourful!) but it did the job and helped me get them sitting up at the table at quickly as possible. I really don't like the way kids stay in cots, nappies, prams, high chairs etc for so long these days; I think it's lazy parenting, but accept its my issue.

I really wanted the adjustable Trapp wooden one. Couldn't justify the cost, though I don't think they're that expensive. It's so short term, buy sturdy, but buy cheap.
  • Oh yeah, IKEA now have a nice white wooden one. Stylish, easy to clean and cheap!

If you are out and about it may be worth popping into boots as they may have some clearance deals that are not online. My mum picked me up a tomy 3 in 1 chair (so I can take it out with us when we are going to people's homes for dinner) in boots for bargain price of £5- it's at least £20 every where else!!
