No, where does any thread here tell people to pay? Does your POPLA code work? If yes, use it TODAY using the templates in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread. If not, sit tight and come back if you get a LBCCC.

I got a NTK letter on 12/1/2017.

You received it on that date and it was dated when? Served too late for keeper liability.

The code didn't work, "The number you entered is not valid, Please try again". How would I go about sending it it anyway? Seems the popla site only lets you appeal with a code?

I'm not sure the date it came but after 12-1-17 as that is the date on the letter.

You can't. You have missed POPLA and you can't appeal to them now.

So, as already said, sit tight (ignore debt collector letters, hilarious drivel) and come back if you get a LBCCC.
