new boiler

could'nt find the right area to post this in .

i was wondering if there any grants or boiler scrapage schemes or deals going as im in the market for a new combi boiler. cheers simon

    Depends who you are and what your needs might be assessed as, but for the vast majority of us, no.

    AFAIK the boiler scrappage scheme was never real, the govt never subsidised the scrappage of boilers. The scheme was advertised by some by adding the "refund" to the front end to makde deals look more attractive.

    You can get a boiler if claiming certain benefits through your enegry company. Martin has an article somewhere on site

    If you have an old unreliable boiler it still might be worth it to replace it with a modern combi boiler as it will save you money in the long term.
    A number of boiler companies have adverts on the radio and TV/internet about 0% finance deals or get a local gas safe installer to give you a quote.
    Worcester Bosch or Valiant is the type to go for.
