Well, we bought YS minced beef and trout in the SM to add to the veg we have in. Loads of fresh fruit and yet more veg. We are definitely having melanzane parmigiana this week - I have four aubergines in!

Spent well under £50 though so all good for the last week of the month!

I love those suggestions, there was I thinking of doing something with beans and pulses and just letting him put the socks on his feet. I much prefer your suggestions gg - made me laugh out loud :T:rotfl:

So sorry about the radio silence on here. Very naughty of me. I think what knocked me back is the mis-judgement about the loan for the DG. Every morning I celebrate the decision to replace the very draughty, very noisy single glazed windows with the replacements. The most important benefit has been the reduction in noise. The local business that continues to flout their operator licence and planning permission by sending overweight trucks through the Village at speed, nearly two hours before their start time, continues to destroy the sleep pattern of our residents with old windows. Perhaps I need to get a grip. It is only one more payment. Just one more than I had been tracking.

Hence no update this month. I had all the little emoji celebration things set up but the little balloons went a bit flat, waiting for the party to start. Ho hum. Time to PMU, DMO, SAOA, as Fred nearly sang to Ginger. "Speak" soon!

I can understand that, SL, another payment when you thought you'd finished would be really disappointing, it feels "extra", even though it isn't. Come back when you can!

Have made the final DG payment. That is it! Done. Finished. Nada. Actually, apart from the last month's spending on the CCs which will all clear in full, we are there on unsecured debt. It has all gone. Just that last annoying balance left on the mortgage.

Now, do I keep rounding the mortgage down through Tilly Tidies, so that it is always a round figure, or shall I keep tidying in to the cash pot and then skim off everything above £10k to regularly reduce the mortgage balance?
