@Suffolk_lass it's entirely understandable. I think I heard that if you irrigate the nose with salt water it can help get to negative. Sorry if it sounds like utter nonsense but it may help?! Love Humdinger xx2

@Humdinger1, that makes sense as I think I’ve heard that after 10 days it’s likely to be dead virus causing the positivity rather than actual live virus.

I think I have ricked a muscle close to my lung, ironically while using my asthma powder inhaler. Either that or I am developing pleurisy (again). It really is scheisse, Suffolk Lass, I'm so sorry - it just keeps getting worse, from the sound of it. Time for it to turn around now.2023: the year I get to buy a car1

Hooray! Negative. 17 days. Things must surely now get better! Off to get dressed (not a novelty, you understand) and planning to go to a garden centre and a nursery. Excellent!

Well off I went to two nurseries yesterday. I also placed two on-line seed orders, both with local companies, within 15 miles of here. I snuck in two silicon "wooden" spoons as my wooden spoons look terrible and a replacement badger toy for the badger hound - it's enormous but he manages to run with it and loves shaking it (he's a miniature, so strictly-speaking it should be smaller animals like rabbits or hares). A very rewarding purchase, alongside some vegetable seeds, seed potatoes and onion and shallot sets. I just need it to warm up enough to get out there now!
In energy money news, I did not buy oil with the Village purchase as we still have over half a tank and the minimum purchase is 500 L (and I'm not sure I could fit 500l in the new tank). In electricity news, we await contact from the solar installation supplier, following the very brief survey they carried out, but we are still on an electricity fix until August. No sign of the Alternative Fuel Payment and no mention on the Scottish Power site. It is supposed to be paid in February. I have just seen the data sharing Ministerial Direction which allows BEIS to provide confidential data to electricity suppliers so they can pay by meter numbers. It came into force on 4th Jan but predates the development of the schemes. Here is the link.
In other news, dog has been to Vet's. Perfect weight, vaccination booster, claws clipped, two treats received, along with lots of fusses, and I came away with tapeworm tablet and flea and tick tablets for the next three months. He is perfect in every way, according to the Vet. That is because she does not get woken up by him most nights...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
