Destiny33 wrote:Just been reading this thread and really fancy the motorola offer but can i ask a really daft Q pls as i've never been on a contract.
What happens at the end? Do you just cancel the month before and get to keep the phone? then can you just use an old sim to go back to payg?
Sorry to be thick would be very grateful before i commit myself
No - there's never a daft question on these forums - just folks with a little more knowledge in areas than yourself.
Yes - just cancel - with 30 days notice - most likely network will ring you at this time offering untold riches. Yes - you get to keep the phone and yes if you unlock the phone you can use it on any network or just stick a PAYG SIM from O2 in and away you go. Seems like its not locked to a particular network - so just change the SIM.

Thank you so much allthatmalarky
it was very nice of you not to make me feel totally stupid.
Grateful for the advice and i think i will go after the motorola. Now the only worry is claiming the cashback. Does it normally go thru smoothly? really cant afford to lose that kind of money0 -
Looks like the deal has now changed to 9 months free rental...0

Have a look at Tesco Mobile.
All standard calls are only 20p per minute.
See: http://www.tescomobile.com/help/pricelist.aspx
The Nokia 1110 is £29.97
The Nokia 3410 is £39.97
The Nokia 2600 is £49.97

I've had a few phones from this site over the last few years and had no problem getting all my cashback.
I dont know about the others but you are able to port your number in on this one so you could port in your PAYG.number.
not sure of the details if one wanted to revert to PAYG after the contract ends.
I have experience of these "free" contract deals with the above and E2save and havn't had any problems. obviously you need to be on the ball with sending in bills etc at the required time in order to get your money.(always send recorded delivery for proof)
These deals keep coming so dont rush thinking its too good to miss.
Last time for me was on E2save, I got two Samsung D500s on 10 months cashback. A couple of days later the deal changed to 12 months cashback! I was gutted :-) I called them not holding out much hope, when they promptly advised me of their 7 day price match meaning if the deal gets better within 7 days they will match it, so I was made up.
There is also an affiliate scheme on both sites so if you are getting more than one phone it is worth setting that up to get the payout on at least one of the phones (might even work if you get a third party to collect affilate money for any phones you buy?)
I sold both phones as new on ebay , just kept the sims, and will end up with around £300 profit after 1 year.
To reiterate you need to be on the ball with regard to collecting cashback and cancelling contracts at the right time in order not to get caught with unexpected charges:rolleyes:0
