British Airways Feb strikes

I've just heard on the news that BA have announced more strike dates, starting 5th to 11th Feb.
We are a group of 20 due to fly out of Gatwick on BA for a ski holiday on the morning of the 5th. Arrghh!
Fingers crossed they cancel the strike, we are on a ski holiday and any delays would reduce our time on the slopes.
Reading up on our rights should the worst happen, and noticed BA said that no compensation would be paid when last strike announced (cancelled luckily!), as it was out of their control. Hmm, not sure on that one, it is in their control to work out payment issues surely?
Anyway, we're not after compo, just want to get to Turin airport on the day and time booked. As I said, fingers crossed. It could be a tense week...

None of the strikes have affected Gatwick. It's the mixed crew fleet at Heathrow that are striking.0

Flying back from Malta on the 5th. I'll happily be delayed if I can get BA to foot the bill ....0

Thanks for those that put my mind at easy, but sorry for anyone who will be affected.
Just need some snow now...0 -
Finnair is a OneWorld partner and has several flights per day on that route so either way I wouldn't worry too much.0

They are. But they are also flying a route that isn't served by the crew who are striking either.
So, everything should be fine
