Mind you it gets hot too in the summer like yours - thank you for reminding me to start thinking about a decent new fan before the summer kicks in!:T
Rabbit hutchers unite! :EasterBun <--- closest rabbit emoji I could find!
Let me know if you find a good fan, I've done a little bit of research but I'm a bit confused. Lots of praise for the Dyson one but it's waaaaaay too expensive for me and someone at work bought one and said it wasn't that good.0 -
I keep procrastinating on having a spring clean / clear out and ebay-ing things but I just got an email from ebay that from 3rd March they will scrap listing fees for private sellers. I think I'm justified in procrastinating a little bit longer to do it closer to the free listing date0

I think it's great . I have the desk version , not the tower. Got mine from Qvc . They often have sales , due to being end of line etc0 -

I haven't spoken much about work or my studies for a long time, they got put on the back burner following the events of last year.
I'm still studying, I've moved on a bit from where I was last time I posted but I still have 2 years left to go. I mentioned before that I have to pay for certain courses myself which are then refunded by my employer if I pass (subject to remaining employed by them for a certain period after the completion of the qualification) so this messes with my debt totals temporarily. However, I've ring fenced the credit source for this so that it doesn't bleed over into our day-to-day budgets (I feel like "ring fenced the credit source" is one of the most pretentious sentences I've ever written, but I can't find a better way of explaining it). I have passed and received the refund for the course that I discussed last time, and I've just put in the application for the next two courses (exams in Jan 2020).
As well as this, the qualification I'm doing requires me to assemble a 3 year professional skills portfolio that demonstrate certain professional competencies. I had a great meeting with my boss at the end of last year to discuss what would need to change in my workload to achieve this. He was really supportive and since January I've been working on a bigger variety of projects and have started to work in new areas while handing over some of the admin type tasks to other colleagues. It is challenging and I am putting a lot of energy into time management & organising my workload, but I am really enjoying it
There will be financial advantages to qualifying in the form of increased salary, but to be honest I'm trying not to count those chickens yet. Qualification is still 3 years off (assuming that life goes to plan) and the last 12 months have taught me that sometimes the worst does happen and it is dangerous to leave the debt busting to future-Georgiana. To be honest, I've been a jerk to future-Georgiana by expecting her to have a completely different personality and attitude to money. I'm going to work on being nice to her by focusing on the small steps out of debt that aren't depending on very altered financial circumstances.0 -

Wonderful! A very empowering way to think about debt and mindful spending!
What we spend today in excess of our income, we borrow from our future self.
I did some sums the other week and figured out that saving £200 per month for 1 year equated to 1 year of early retirement if invested today.
Good to have you back posting regularly!0
