Yes. I don't think their system is very efficient. I have made 3 phone calls and one visit to a branch (advised by one of the people I spoke to on the phone, which turned out not to be necessary) to sort this out as I didn't hear back for weeks after my application either.
I still don't have my card and applied nearly 3 weeks ago, but if you speak to them you may find that you have been approved and what the credit limit will be. They did tell me that but couldn't explain why the process was so shambolic. I am only going ahead because I got a great deal with them, and hopefully once the card arrives (I was advised that it will be up to another 5 days!) it will all be fine.
I'd recommend you call them, especially if they haven't responded or sent out a contract to you. Maybe they have a glitch and I've read somewhere that they have very old systems. It's quite possible that if I hadn't followed up on the application I wouldn't have heard a thing but they've offered me a £5000 0% balance transfer so it was worth it!
Good luck with your application.:)0 -

Thank you. Did you have a reference number or did you just give your name?0 -
They asked for reference number but sometimes I didn't have it and they just used my name on postcode. They should be able to find your details if the application has been logged. Let us know how you get on!
Make sure you get through to the credit card bit if you can. It can be a while holding on the phone and as I said a bit shambolic but worth it if you get the deal in the end.:)0 -
I applied ten months ago. Paperwork came back to sign, returned, they agreed it had been received. Still waiting for card.Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0

Not even had a search on equifax... when my husband applied it searched equifax...0

They take ages. But it isn't even that it is the lack of any form of communication.
A few weeks later and I received paperwork in the post to say I had been accepted and to sign and send back.
Still waiting for the card and PIN to arrive. Notification of my interest rate and 0% balance transfer rate but no confirmation on the first lot of paperwork of credit limit allocated.
They seem to be a bit behind the times when it comes to technology. Pretty poor really from one of the world's biggest banks.0 -
Took ages TBH for mine, about 3-4 wks for the documentation to come through, signed and sent back the same day. Another 3 weeks for the card and a week after that for the pin.
THEN the whole longwinded process to register for online banking is crazy.
Still its a good balance transfer card and easier to get than alot of others.

I was told I would get mine within 10 days and that they had received the signed paperwork.
Horrified to hear that some people just don't receive the card!!
I have about 5 days to go so I won't hold my breath. It's terrible for people's money management to be offered a card that doesn't show up. It would help me a lot to have that BT so I hope it turns up by next week.0 -
I've always been refused a CC, why? I have worked most of my life and now self employed and rent a property and have been there for more than 7 years. Got no debts than small suppliers re my work and pay off once every few months.0
