Can you try if the keyboard works in the bios ..


Turn off your computer, turn it back on whilst mashing the F2 key (Depending on model of computer)


You should then be presented with a screen with options on it.
Does the cursor keys allow you to move around the options


(this will determine is the problem is OS related)

Have no idea what I touched, but it has come back now! It types in search boxes and acts like nothing was ever wrong with it? Thanks all for taking time to read this just hope I'm not back here asking for help with it tomorrow, just in case it goes cuckoo again). X

Use On-Screen Keyboard until you get new keyboard, Acessories/Ease of Access in Windows 7.

I had same problem with my laptop, stopped working properly after I cleaned it.
