I'm currently on Three payg and am quite happy. Though with busy city life I wonder if it would make sense to upgrade to a contract. I'd be willing to pay 10GBP/month, and mobile data is important to me. Another thing important to me is using my phone abroad at UK rates, mainly data. This works very well with Three. Important locations include all of EU and US. Extra points for Brazil. Three would cost me 10GBP/month for 1GB data, mobile hotspot and use abroad. Any idea which provider might offer a better deal?

  • Three advanced sim only plan, unlimited mins and texts, and 1GB data. £11 a month.

Worth an extra £1 a month for all those minutes and texts?
The instructions on the box said 'Requires Windows 7 or better'. So I installed LINUX :D:D

I'm on Three's PAYG and I spoke to their sales team at the weekend. You can definitely get their existing customer offers and get 4gb data and unlimited everything else for £10pm over 12 months

It's always worth going back to Three and try and negotiate a better deal if your an existing customer.

If you're only going to the EU (and a few select other countries, including USA I think?) the EU has brought in a law requiring roaming charges to be completely scrapped, so what you pay at home is what you pay within the EU bloc.

Always look for cashback and vouchers. I got a 3 SIM-only contract with 12GB data, unlimited texts and 200 minutes for £3.66 after cashback.

I assume your talking about Three Feel At Home which has nothing to do with a EU ruling .Its a service Three Offer. See: http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Phones/Feel_At_Home?id=1523&aidset=1

But yes the EU have passed a law requiring EU roaming charges to be scrapped and it comes into affect in June 2017.:D

I meant the new EU rules coming into effect, but somehow in my head conflated the ruling and Feel at Home together.

Having the EU legislation, plus Feel at Home, is a great thing to get when you're only paying £3-4 a month and can use your phone as usual in most popular tourist countries.
