Where does anywhere in The Deep's advice does it say that you ignore this?

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, just post #1 at this stage, and follow the advice in it.

Ignore is not what you should be doing, unless you want 6 years of uncertainty, debt collector hassle and the outside chance that you could be sued in court.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If you were to ignore them, they would be more likely to take this to court. Engage with them, question everything. Not only will it cost them money, but it will send them the message that you are not a person with whom they should trifle
