It's not what you're adding, it's the total of its parts.

I refer you to page 25 of your PD technical documents. It's exactly what you're proposing.

Thanks - I think the clarity I was missing (and my architect is also missing) is that when you add any little bit of extension u need to look at all current existing extensions and consider it all as a single extension (whether its been there 30 years on not)
