Hi, sorry if this has already been asked, I've recently opened the TSB account and in two weeks it will have been 28 days since I switched the account so should receive the bonus. My question is, when can I switch to another account, do I have to have been with TSB for a certain amount of time or can I change whenever to another account?

It has, thousands of times on here over the years! :)
do I have to have been with TSB for a certain amount of time or can I change whenever to another account?
The answer is the same as it always has been. If you have to stay with them for a minimum time period the switching incentive T&Cs will very clearly say so (as they do with Nationwide's RAF promotion for example). Do the TSB T&Cs stipulate such a minimum time period?

It didn't say anywhere under the conditions that are shown, but in terms of the detailed and long terms & conditions I didn't read those so not sure if it states it there.
    Thanks

Can anyone shed any light on what might have gone wrong with my husband's account switch please?

Does it involve Google Chrome? If it does, their systems don't support it. I've only just realised, as I've now got a suspended application as I was applying in Chrome, and got part way through. Rang up the helpline, they suggested using Internet Explorer. But as I had already started an application, I cannot now complete it!
If your switch was anything to do with Google Chrome, I might suggest that could be the reason.

If you qualified then it is usually paid into your account automatically.

I would make enquiries to see what has gone wrong.

Both of us switched our current accounts using the MSE link. Mine went through fine & I've received the £130 cashback. His looked to have done the same but he didn't receive the cashback so he called them this morning to be told he only has a Classic account, not a Classic Plus.
We both saw the same screens during the application process so we're really confused... He's never had a TSB account before. One of his direct debits hasn't been paid either, despite confirmation from TSB that it was transferred but that's a separate issue...

    A (belated) update...

We went in to our local branch just before the August bank holiday weekend to discuss the above, and the fact that one of my husband’s direct debits hadn’t been paid.

The lady he spoke to made several phone calls to TSB, trying to clarify what had happened with the account switch, but all she got back was a ‘computer says no’ type response. I showed her the email I had sent to my husband with the MSE link, with the timestamp being just before my husband had made his application.

The staff in branch were fantastic; they apologised profusely (my husband also told them that the person he’d originally spoken to on the phone had been fairly rude to him - he’d pretty much been told he couldn’t read and therefore must have clicked the wrong link…), they upgraded his account from a Classis to a Classis Plus, and transferred £200 into it to cover the missing switch bonus and the other rewards he’d missed out on, with the remainder being a goodwill gesture.

So, after my husband being absolutely adamant that he wouldn’t stay with TSB after that phone call, he’s since being singing their praises from the rooftops to anyone that will listen!

Just goes to show, all companies make mistakes at some point, but how they deal with it can make all the difference.

Does anyone know if I still need to pay £500 in per month to get the interest?

I opened my Classic Plus account in 2014, and for a long time I was getting interest, plus £5 cashback for using my card, and to get it I had to activate paperless and transfer in £500 each month.

I'm looking at their website now, and it looks like all the cashback offers I am no longer eligible for since they only apply to new customers after March 2017 - my deals must have ended. I realise I've been wasting my time using the contactless for no benefit, but I can still get the interest, I'm just unsure if I'm also wasting my time transferring £500 in every month.

Yes I've got a couple of these and they still require £500 deposits monthly to get 3% interest on up to £1,500.
