IPhone 7 v Samsung S6
Options
I have a Samsung S6 and quite happy with it. Have been asked if I'd like an iPhone 7 as a gift. Question is I've an iPad so do I really need an iPhone and are they really worth it? Always said I'd like an iPhone but I know the battery doesn't last as long as my Samsung so needs charging more frequently.
Views anyone please? Thanks.

You'll never get a rational or unbiased answer, android users will say one thing (and the fanboys will try and tell you how useless iPhones are and the work of the devil) and iPhone users will tell you the opposite.
You need to get an iPhone in hand and try it for yourself.====0 -
The iphone 7 is pretty much on par with the Samsung Galaxy S7 (i've got the S7, wife has an iphone 7)
Her battery isn't actually that bad. I like Android too much that I wouldn't want to swap to iOS.
Nice gift if you can get it.. but for the price you could get a new laptop instead.0 -
Op at least you are familiar with both Apple and Android eco systems .
My question would be what can an IP7 do that S6 cannot and do you need such .
Next point would be that if its new then it will have less wear and tear than your old phone .0 -
Thanks JJ Egan - hadn't thought to ask it that way .
My Samsung is only 15 months old.0 -

I have an iPad Air 2 and funnily enough I have been given the choice of a new PC instead. There starts another decision if I went down that route - which laptop or PC! It's okay having birthdays but large gifts like this are off my scale!0 -
I know it isn't money saving but I've an iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Pro.
In some aspects it's great i.e. being able to use FaceTime, iMessage and even send/reply to texts from iPad when my iPhone is on charge etc.
I thought the Galaxy S6 was either water resistant and/or waterproof but it seems not; iPhone 7 is IP67 rated but any liquid damage isn't covered under warranty.
The S6 has a higher screen resolution and PPI count and whenever I've played with another phone that has a better display you can see the difference. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
