Have you tried your local £1 shop for tins? or failing that other cheaper shops if you have them eg BM, Home Bargains.0

Thanks for the idea about the cellophane. If I can't find any tins then this does look really pretty and I'll do this instead.
Many thanks for the help everyone.0 -
Hobby craft do cake boxes too. I am not far from you, in Tamworth, and ours definitely does - in varying sizes.I wanna be in the room where it happens0

I am making hampers this year for pressies and have been making jams and chutneys for the last three weeks. I saw a site on the internet that suggested that you could make a mini xmas cake in a small baked bean tin. I thought this would be a good idea because some of the people I am making hampers for are on their own. Has anyone tried anything like this (or am I the only insane one!) or does anyone have any suggestions of how to make a little cake without going to a major expense buying specialist tins?
If you're making little cakes for 4 people you could cook in a square tin and then cut into 4.0 -
Well, I pride myself on an organised freezer. However, last night instead of grabbing peppers to defrost, my oh grabbed some cooked butternut squash. I only noticed this morning and now I dont know how to use it - I hate waste. Ideas would be very welcome. Many thanks.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Roast it and have it with whatever you are having tonight. I roast mine in chilli and olive oil with cumin. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
